I tried Aldi's £15 chocolate fountain and it's perfect for a Valentine's night in

Planning a cosy night in this Valentine’s day? Then you need to get yourself to Aldi and pick up their special buys chocolate fountain.
The budget supermarket are well known for their kitchen gadgets, from hot chocolate makers to toastie makers at affordable price points.
Reduced to £14.99 from £19.99, their chocolate fountain has been incredibly popular, flying off the shelves in the middle aisle.

I managed to get my hands on one this week, and armed with two huge bars of chocolate, marshmallows, popcorn, brownies and macarons I attempted to set up and use the fountain to see just how easy it was to use.
Aldi said: “If there's anything that makes your treats even more yummy, it's dipping them in chocolate of course!
“Get your fruit, biscuits and marshmallows at the ready with this Ambiano Chocolate Fountain.”
The fountain was smaller than expected, but it’s a great size for couples, or for a few children for a birthday party.
The box contained the base, fountain, treat tray and 100 wooden skewers, and was super easy to set up, not requiring any tools or assistance.
After leaving the tray to pre-heat, I melted 400g of Aldi’s milk chocolate in the microwave and poured it in, waiting for the magic to happen.
When I turned on the fountain, it was quite noisy at first as it sucked the chocolate to the top of the fountain and satisfyingly overflowed at the top, cascading silky milk chocolate back down into the tray.
The fountain needs a minimum of 400g of chocolate to work, and holds up to 500g - and I think the sweet spot for the perfect flow would be around the 450g mark. That said, Aldi do recommend adding in a spoon of
