I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! fans: the show is officially returning to the Australian jungle for the upcoming season. ITV has confirmed that the reality show will be filming Down Under this year after a two-year-long break due to the coronavirus pandemic, during which they filmed at Gwrych Castle in Wales. The broadcaster said: "Returning to its home in Australia after a two-year break, our celebrities will leave their plush pads and luxuries far behind as they spend up to three weeks taking on the Australian jungle with a whole host of surprises created for them.
"Related: I'm a Celebrity 2022 – everything you need to knowAnt and Dec will be returning to host the show. The cast is yet to be announced. The hosting duo recently confirmed to Heart Breakfast that ITV had been planning to bring the series back to Australia, though nothing was sure at the time.
"The plan is, we're going back to Australia, we don't want to go elsewhere. It's got to go back to it. Back to its spiritual home, back to where it all started.
"Everyone wants to see a bit of sunshine at that time of year on the telly," Ant said. "He continued: "We had two lovely years in Wales, we really enjoyed our time in Wales, but this show has to be in Australia.
