The family of a mum who died almost a year after she was found injured in a front garden say they are in a 'living hell.'
Karen Youdell was discovered seriously hurt outside a property on Rosebank Road in Newton Heath on July 23, 2023.
The mum-of-four, who was 49 at the time, was airlifted to hospital where she spent the next nine months in a vegetative state.

Tragically, Karen never showed any signs of recovery and her family made the impossible decision to end her life supporting treatment earlier this month.
She died on May 8 with her devastated loved ones by her side. She was just 50-years-old.
Her heartbroken daughter, Leanne Youdell, has now spoken for the first time about the family’s never-ending nightmare.
“When I got the call, I just screamed,” the 29-year-old, who lives in Wythenshawe, told the Manchester Evening News. “I just remember that horrifying scream.
“I just felt like I couldn’t breathe. I had only been speaking to her a few days before. I still get flashbacks from when I walked into the intensive care unit and saw her.
“She recovered on the outside and it looked like she was getting better – but she wasn’t. It reassured you things were going to be okay, but they weren’t.”
Teaching assistant Leanne first heard her mum had been seriously injured the morning after the incident.
The mum-of-two received a call saying Karen had been rushed to hospital and she “wasn’t going to make it”.
Ringing around several hospitals, Leanne eventually learned her mum had been taken to the intensive care unit at Salford Royal.
