Beauty fans are raving about a five-star rated beauty product they claim gives 'flawless' skin without the need for makeup, and say its effects can last up to two-weeks. The £34 mask has been dubbed a cult-favourite with almost 3.000 glowing five-star reviews, but I wasn't convinced it could live up to hype.
I'd heard the best things about the Australian Pink Clay Porefining Face Mask, and wanted to see if it really gave the 'game changing' results reviews had claimed. So I did just that.
Clay masks are supposed to unclog pores and clear congestion in your skin, which is a nice idea but always leaves me concerned that my skin is going to be left feeling dry. This Sand and Sky one uses an Australian pink clay that claims to purify and tighten pores while battling break outs and clearing congestion. I figured it would be worth a try.

The tub was smaller than I expected when I opened the box, I'm not sure why this surprised me so much but I think it looks much bigger online. It comes with a little brush to apply the mask with and the bristles are so soft, it stands out from the other mask brushes I've used in the past and is much easier to clean.
The mask is more of a grey colour than pink in the tub but it smells really nice. I'm assuming this is thanks to the mangosteen and pomegranate in the ingredients list, which are to boost cell turnover and brighten your complexion.
I think that clay masks normally have quite a thick consistency but as soon as I dipped in the brush I was surprised to find it was actually quite thin. Not to the point that it was runny but it
