Hulu Orders New Documentary Series ‘RapCaviar Presents’

Maybe this is a bit of a hot take, but has FX officially replaced HBO as the premier destination for “prestige” TV, yet? Shows like “Fargo,” “Atlanta,” “What We Do in the Shadows,” and “Mayans M.C.” have been on for years and really showcased the quality that FX strives for. Then you have newer entries like “Reservation Dogs,” “The Bear,” “The Old Man,” and “Dave,” showcasing that FX really is just a non-stop factory of great TV.

Shudder is one of the most interesting streaming services available today. No, it doesn’t have the sheer amount of content you might find on Netflix.

FX has ordered The Veil, a new limited series thriller for Hulu from Steven Knight and starring Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid’s Tale).

HBO has released the official trailer for its upcoming documentary charting the rise and fall of Diana, Princess of Wales. The film, titled The Princess, comes shortly before the 25th anniversary of the princess’ death in 1997 and will be released on the US streamer on August 13. It will explore Diana’s complex relationship with the media and her romance with the Duke of Wales, including their marriage through to their infamous split in 1992.The film will also show how the paparazzi frenzy contributed to Diana’s death at the age of just 36.

Diego Luna and Gael García Bernal are reteaming to star in and produce the upcoming Spanish-language Hulu limited series “La Máquina,” from Searchlight Television. “La Máquina,” which got a straight-to-series order, follows an aging boxer (Bernal) whose crafty manager (Luna) secures him one last shot at a title.

Jack Harlow, Lil Nas X and Kendrick Lamar are top contenders with seven nominations at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards. MTV announced Tuesday that Lil Nas X and Harlow earned multiple nominations for their collaborative hit "Industry Baby," which is nominated for video of the year. Both performers, along with Drake, Bad Bunny, Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles and Lizzo, will compete for artist of the year.

2022 MTV Video Music Awards nominees represent the best of what we have listened to and the music videos that have kept us entertained over the last year.On Tuesday, MTV announced the nominees for its 2022 show, which pegs Jack Harlow, Kendrick Lamar and Lil Nas X in the lead with seven nominations a piece, while 2021 MTV VMAs host, Doja Cat, and Harry Styles aren't far behind, each scoring six nominations for their music magic.    Billie Eilish, Drake, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and The Weeknd were also among the top contenders, heading into next month's show with five nominations a piece.   This year's VMAs will also see 26 first-time nominees be up for a Moon person, including Baby Keem, GAYLE, Kacey Musgraves and Måneskin — each with multiple nods.This year, the VMAs are returning to the Garden State, for its first show in New Jersey since its iconic 2019 production, which featured Missy Elliott and Taylor Swift's show-stopping performances. While a host for this year's show has yet to be revealed, the winners will be announced in front of a live audience during the show, on Aug.
