A Scots policeman has been left in tears fearing for his family’s safety after Russia's invasion of Ukraine left the country "apocalyptic".

Firefighters have raced to a residential Scots street as they battle an ongoing blaze.
Emergency services rushed to the scene of the blaze on Longstone Road in Edinburgh at around 8.56pm on Sunday, February 13.
A photo shared on social media shows towering flames coming from a building, as thick smock billows into the sky.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) confirmed they have deployed three vehicles and a height appliance to the location.
Part of the street has also been cordoned off as crews remain in the area trying to extinguish the inferno.
The cause of the fire, or if there have been any injuries, are not known at this time.
An SFRS spokesperson said: "We responded to reports of a fire on Longstone Road, Edinburgh at 8.56pm on Sunday, February 13.
"Three vehicles and a height appliance were deployed and crews currently remain at the scene."
Police Scotland added that they are currently assisting the fire service.
