Buy Now “Kelce” follows the All-Pro Center throughout the 2022-23 NFL season, offering an intimate look into his life, on and off the field. The documentary follows Kelce as he contemplates retirement, witnesses the birth of his youngest daughter and decides to return to the NFL for a 12th season before, of course, making it all the way to the Super Bowl to face off against his brother Travis and the Kansas City Chiefs. The doc also features footage of Jason at home with his wife and four daughters, his mother Donna and home videos of the Kelce brothers as kids.
The viewership record for “Kelce” is just the latest in a string of broken records following Travis’s high-publicity relationship with Taylor Swift. Her attendance at the Chiefs-Jets game on Oct. 1 brought in an average of 27 million viewers to NBC and Peacock, ranking it as the most-watched Sunday program since the Super Bowl and spiking female viewership by more than 35%.
Jersey sales for the Chiefs tight end also spiked by nearly 400% following her initial NFL appearance. Considering the media frenzy, there’s little doubt that “Kelce,” although centered on Jason and not Travis, is thanks to Swift’s recent association. “All because of you and me,” quipped Jason sarcastically about the doc’s viewership records on his “New Heights” podcast.
