The 2022 Academy Awards are set to air tonight on ABC and you may be shocked to learn about the hosting gig’s salary.
This year, the show is being hosted by Regina King, Wanda Sykes, and Amy Schumer.

We learned some salary information from Jimmy Kimmel, who previously hosted the show in 2017 and 2018.
Wanda was on Jimmy Kimmel Live when he asked about her salary for the show.
Wanda spoke about becoming one of the hosts. She commented, “out of all the jobs that I have, this one is actually gonna cost me money.”
Jimmy then asked how much money she’s making for the gig.
Wanda responded, “Like scale, probably,” to which Jimmy responded, “It’s less than that.”
Jimmy then revealed when he was host, ABC paid him $15,000. He also revealed it’s hours and hours of work over the course of several months.
