Carlos Santana reveals fans tell him they impregnated their spouses to his music

Samba Pa Ti‘ or ‘Europa‘ — the ballads,” Santana, 75, told The Post from his home in Hawaii. “We made an impact on the world as far as facilitating a vibration that makes people feel spiritual and sexually aroused at the same time.” The dad of three — who may or may not have been listening to his favorite artists Marvin Gaye, John Coltrane, Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Nina Simone and Tina Turner when his own children were conceived — said his sensual sound unites him with fans across continents.“Because people grew up listening to this music in their living rooms, people made love with them and so somehow we became like the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, part of an institution,” he said.“I could go anywhere in the world, Ireland, Japan or Africa, and I’m not a tourist, I’m part of the family.”The native of Autlan, Mexico, whose father was a violinist, started as a street musician, and quickly realized his talent would one day become his profession.“My father would enter me into contests and I would always win,” he said.

Howie Mandel had trouble watching Ukrainian ‘America’s Got Talent’ act

fell multiple times from dangerous heights on the “America’s Got Talent” stage, famously OCD judge Howie Mandel nearly had a nervous breakdown. “The tension in the room and the fear … I remember saying, ‘I can’t watch this,'” he told The Post of the balancing act from the female troupe, who call themselves Three G.“These are three young people who have left a war-torn country where their life is in jeopardy and their family’s life and their future.”The women — who appeared on “AGT’s” Season 18 premiere last week — kept picking themselves back up and trying again — which was an inspiration to Mandel.“They will risk everything and you feel it through tears and pain and injury just to make a better life maybe in a different place for themselves and you sense that on the stage,” he said. The audacious acrobats are still in the running — after Mandel and fellow judges Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, and Heidi Klum voted to keep them in the competition. The 67-year-old Canadian native — who made his debut on “AGT” in 2009 — said contestants take the plunge, knowing they can benefit from the exposure they gain through the NBC series.“It’s not just a silly talent show.

Wim Wenders on Why Hirayama, the Tokyo Toilet Cleaner in ‘Perfect Days,’ Matters: ‘There Are No Nobodies!’

Leo Barraclough International Features Editor “Perfect Days,” which world premiered in Competition at the Cannes Film Festival, is reminiscent – in some ways – of “Groundhog Day,” but whereas in the latter film Bill Murray’s character, Phil, is trying to escape the repetitive nature of his existence, in Wim Wenders’ film the protagonist, Hirayama, is “embracing it,” the German director tells Variety. Both films show the lead characters waking at the same time each morning, but whereas, in “Groundhog Day,” Phil is awoken by an alarm clock, in Wenders’ film, as he points out, Hirayama, played by Cannes best actor winner Koji Yakusho, “wakes up on his own, or he wakes up because there’s an old lady brushing the street outside, always on time. He doesn’t need an alarm clock. He doesn’t even own one.” There is a sense that this is a man in harmony with nature, and at peace with his existence, rather than wrestling with it.

‘Feathers’ Director Omar El Zohairy to Helm English-Language Drama ‘Mammals’

Nick Vivarelli International Correspondent Egyptian director Omar El Zohairy, whose absurdist social satire “Feathers” won the Cannes Critics’ Week prize in 2021 and went on to make a major splash, is set to helm “Mammals,” an English-language drama that will be a reflection on Western capitalism and family ties. El Zohairy’s sophomore film, which will feature still unspecified actors from different countries, is being co-written by the buzzed-about auteur with British Egyptian writer-director Mohamed Adeeb, who wrote the hit Egyptian TV series “Bimbo,” directed by Amr Salama. “Mammals” is partly inspired by the biography of El Zohairy’s father, who died in 2016 in the United States, where he was an immigrant living under difficult conditions. In the film, a young man visits his distant father in one of the world’s most lavish resorts. When he arrives there he discovers that, unbeknownst to him, his father has locked him into a business deal that he cannot reject. The young man rebels, but also starts to like his new life and eventually loses his sanity.
