‘House of the Dragon’ Season 2 drops ‘dueling’ explosive trailers — and premiere date

Pea soup vomit and the creepiest of creatures makes an appearance in the official trailer for the final season of Evil on Paramount+.

Selome Hailu “Descendants: The Rise of Red” is set for a July 12 premiere, as revealed in a new teaser. The Disney+ film stars Kylie Cantrall as Red, princess of the hostile kingdom of Wonderland and the newest Villain Kid (aka VK) at Auradon Prep. When her mother, the tyrannical Queen of Hearts (Rita Ora), incites a coup against Auradon, Red must join forces with Chloe (Cinderella and King Charming’s daughter played by Malia Baker) to travel back in time and undo the traumatic event that set the queen down her villainous path.

Disney+ has revealed a spring premiere date for The Acolyte, the new Lucasfilm Star Wars series. Star Wars: The Acolyte will be released June 4 on the streaming service. The date was revealed Monday on Star Wars verified X account, which also teases more news to come tomorrow. (See below).

BAFTA-nominated Irish actor Robert Sheehan (The Umbrella Academy) has signed on to lead a stage adaptation of Bruce Robinson’s 1987 cult tragi-comedy Withnail and I at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre alongside actors Adonis Siddique and Malcolm Sinclair. 

Screenwriter David Seidler has passed away aged 87, his longtime manager has announced. David, who work the Oscar-winning film The King's Speech, was fly-fishing in New Zealand when he sadly passed away, a cause of death is yet to be announced.

The White Lotus season 3 has another casting update!

EXCLUSIVE: Charlotte Le Bon (Falcon Lake) has joined Season 3 of HBO‘s The White Lotus in a role that is being recast. She is replacing Francesca Corney, who had been originally tapped for the part, sources close to production tell Deadline. HBO would not comment but we hear that the producers felt they needed someone who played older. Details regarding the character are being kept under wraps.

Ellise Shafer Welcome back to the Whoniverse. The new season of “Doctor Who,” starring “Sex Education” breakout Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor, will premiere on May 10. The new installment will be the first-ever to launch on Disney+ and release simultaneously worldwide.

We’re getting the first look at André Holland as Black Panther leader Huey P. Newton in Apple’s upcoming limited series The Big Cigar (See photo above). The six-episode limited drama series is set to premiere globally May 17 with the first two episodes, followed by new episodes every Friday through June 14, on Apple TV+.

Guy Ritchie fans can't get enough of his new drama The Gentlemen. Debuting last week, the gangster series is currently the most-watched on Netflix in the UK.
