Hollyoaks confirms exit for major character in latest episode

Hit Channel 4 show Gogglebox has just taken a swipe at the former This Morning presenter, Phillip Schofield, following his recent departure from the show and just hours after he confirmed he’d quit ITV for good. In case you missed it, the 61 year old recently released a bombshell statement about the future of his career, including admitting to having an affair with a much younger male colleague and lying to his wife and ITV about it. Of course, Gogglebox was filmed before the latest news dropped, which meant that the resident armchair critics weren’t to know about the affair during filming.

Emmerdale has teased a potential exit for Moira Dingle - as Nicola sets her plan in motion. Moira was behind the wheel of her car when Nicola came round a blind spot bend and the cars crashed into one another. Whilst both Nicola and Moira were unscathed, teenager Angel was rushed to hospital with leg injuries.

As Will left the hospital following the many changes at Gaffney, he reunited with his ex-fiancée, Natalie (Torrey DeVitto, who made a surprise appearance in the episode after leaving at the end of Season 6). “It was a difficult decision, but ultimately, I felt I’d taken Dr. Halstead as far as I can go with him. I think that comes down to a creative part of you, or the energy or spirit you have that you’re either built for a very long time with one person or not,” Gehlfuss tells Variety. “I am attracted to the profession for the variety in it, and eight years is a long time. It’s two college degrees! I’m joking now that I basically have a doctorate in television.”

Manori Ravindran Executive Editor of International MUBI has acquired Aki Kaurismäki’s “Fallen Leaves” for major markets including North America following its well-received debut in Cannes. The indie streamer and distributor has also picked up the movie for the U.K., Ireland, Latin America and Turkey. The competition title from the Finnish auteur had a number of bidders following its world premiere on Monday. MUBI will release the film theatrically, with specific release plans to be announced in due course. “Fallen Leaves” is the 20th film from Kaurismäki, who previously won the Grand Prix and the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury for his film “The Man Without A Past,” which went on to be nominated for the best international feature Oscar in 2003.

Cannes took audiences back to their childhoods with the first screening of “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.” The film’s splashy premiere saw stars Harrison Ford, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Mads Mikkelsen walk the red carpet, alongside Walt Disney CEO Bob Iger and director James Mangold. The first reactions were slow to drop but were filled with enthusiasm.

Succession actor Fisher Stevens has revealed that he’s written a spin-off focusing on his character, Hugo Baker.Stevens has portrayed Hugo, an executive at the fictional Waystar RoyCo company, in seasons two, three and four of the HBO series.Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor said he wrote an unofficial story about Hugo’s future, with the show coming to an end later this month with the conclusion of the fourth and final season.“I do that whenever I get a part. I write a bio,” he said.
