Holly Willoughby has been seen enjoying a day at the beach during her holiday to Portugal. The This Morning presenter continues to lie low away from the continually developing drama behind the scenes at ITV, where CEO Dame Carolyn McCall is set to face questions from MPs over the Phillip Schofield scandal.
The 42 year old mum-of-three, who took her planned annual leave over half-term early amid former co-host Phillip Schofield's unexpected departure from the daytime TV show, was spotted soaking up the sun on a busy beach by the Mediterranean sea. Holly appeared to be deep in thought for much of the snaps, as she reflected on the end of her 13-year work partnership with Phillip, 61, who quit his position at This Morning nearly two weeks ago before subsequently resigning from ITV altogether on May 26.
Phillip, who was then dropped by his talent agency YMU, had admitted to having an "unwise but not illegal" affair with a younger male production assistant on This Morning. The relationship took place while the presenter was still married to his wife Stephanie Lowe and before he came out publicly as gay.
Holly, who is set to return to the This Morning sofa on Monday, June 5, following a two week absence, seemed to be attempting to hide her identity in public as she donned a straw sun hat and large black sunglasses for her outing on the beach. With her family in tow, Holly shared a few smiles as she took a stroll along the shoreline.
