Passengers have reported travel chaos at Scots airports today.
Fed up punters were left outside in the cold this morning at Edinburgh Airport as they waited to drop off their luggage.
Passengers complained that they were left outside at around 5am this morning to stand in a line outside Terminal 5 at the airport.
The Twitter user Mirjana Gavrilović Nilsson uploaded the snap this morning and complained that passengers were told to wait outside in the cold to drop off their bags.
She said: "The queue for Ryanair bag drop is so long.
"We are queueing outside the Edinburgh Airport terminal in five degrees weather.
"WTF Ryanair and Edinburgh Airport, get your s**t together."
She continued: "Airlines and airports cut so much staff during the pandemic that now when there is a high demand for travel again, they can't cope."
Edinburgh Airport bosses say that this was caused by a number of flights being opened at the one time but the issue was quickly sorted out.
A spokesperson for Edinburgh Airport said: "An airline handling agent opened up a number of flights at the same time for check-in this morning instead of staggering them and that resulted in a build-up of people.
“We also had two self-service check-in machines going down but they were quickly brought back online and helped to clear queues quickly."
Travel chaos hit also Glasgow Airport this morning with queues 'snaking into the car park'.
Business traveller John Morrison, 60, arrived at 5.45am with no luggage to fly to Gatwick at 6.45am on Tuesday for a day trip.
He was shocked to see a queue which snaked around the first floor and around the car park.
