Holby City star Guy Henry, who is best known as hospital boss Henrik Hanssen, has opened up about the mementos he has taken from set to remember his time on the long-running BBC series. In a new interview, Guy spoke about his sadness that the show was coming to an end, before explaining he’d requested some of Henrik’s belongings so that a part of his alter-ego would always be with him.
Asked about what he’d like to take home, the 61 year old actor revealed: “Well, we had an email before from the powers that be asking us to stop nicking things from the set.” However, Guy has since asked to be able to keep two items close to his heart and has written to BBC bosses to ask for them. I have asked, I haven't nicked them but I've made polite requests.” Elsewhere in the chat, Guy recalled what it was like during the last days on set alongside the crew and his fellow cast. The actor explained: “It's been so emotional.
I've worked with these people for about 12 years.” He continued: “They're probably the loveliest bunch of people you would ever work with. “It's famously, for guest actors, one of the most pleasant shows to be on.” This comes after Holby City fans were left fighting back tears as Henrik’s colleague Elliot Hope (Paul Bradley) made a surprise return to the show.
