Hocus Pocus 2 is coming!
The highly anticipated sequel to Hocus Pocus has just wrapped filming, and producer Adam Shankman is teasing the release date.
“SISTAAAAAHHHHSSS! Aaaaand that’s a WRAP!!! #hocuspocus2,” he captioned a photo on his Instagram of a silhouette of the three stars.
“Congratulations to the amazing team @bettemidler @sarahjessicaparker @kathynajimy @567and8 @mrsleshem and the WHOOOOLLLEEEE cast and crew!!!” he continued before teasing the release date: “Coming to you #halloween #2022 on @disneyplus.”
Here’s the plot synopsis: In Hocus Pocus 2, three young women accidentally bring the Sanderson Sisters back to modern day Salem and must figure out how to stop the child-hungry witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on the world.

This morning Hutchins estate attorney Brian Panish put blame on Rust producers and Baldwin for their negligence with safety during production of the western that led to Hutchins being shot and killed by a prop gun discharged by the Oscar nominated actor, an incident that also saw the pic’s director Joel Souza injured. Using an animated video to reconstruct the alleged incidents that occurred, Panish showed Baldwin cross-drawing and firing the gun straight at crew during a “line-up”.
Other defendants named in the lawsuit filed in Santa Fe County include the production’s assistant director Dave Halls, who handed Baldwin the firearm that shot Hutchins, and the production’s prop master, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed.The lawsuit has long been expected since Hutchins’ husband hired the law firm Panish Shea Boyle Ravipudi LLP, which specializes in wrongful death lawsuits, this past November. One of the firm’s partners, Bryan Panish, is serving as lead lawyer on the case after securing a $2.2 billion settlement for victims of California wildfires and mudslides last year.

Ethan Shanfeld “Hocus Pocus 2” has wrapped filming and will premiere on Disney Plus on Halloween, according to executive producer Adam Shankman.In an Instagram post on Friday, Shankman wrote, “SISTAAAAAHHHHSSS! Aaaaand that’s a WRAP!!! #hocuspocus2. Congratulations to the amazing team…and the WHOOOOLLLEEEE cast and crew!!! Coming to you #halloween #2022 on @disneyplus.”Disney did not immediately respond to Variety‘s request for comment, but since spooky season programming typically comes out ahead of the holiday, we can probably expect “Hocus Pocus 2” just before Oct.
UPDATED, 3:05 PM: Producer Adam Shankman took to Instagram on Friday to unveil a premiere date for the anticipated Hocus Pocus 2, announcing that the sequel to Kenny Ortega’s 1993 Disney classic will debut on Disney+ this Halloween.
