On Wednesday 9 February, the incredible Katie Piper received an OBE for her services to charity and fellow victims of burns and other disfigurement injuries. The 38-year-old was given the special award after she was announced in the Queen's New Year Honours list last month and was given the honour by Anne, Princess Royal at Windsor Castle.
Making sure to show up and stun in front of royalty, the Loose Women star wowed in a flawless head-to-toe crisp white outfit from clothing brand The Deck London.This was styled with a pair of white pearl embellished Jimmy Choo platform heels and a brilliant white scarf. For a special day, of course Katie had to have a special outfit so she worked closely with her stylist Emily Evans to create a highly symbolic look.The mum-of-two opted for a white outfit due to it being linked to the Suffragette's and therefore representing independence, but also due to the colours' connotations of peace and rebirth. As well as this, she decided on a suit as a form of "power" and to act as an empowering ensemble.
