Hibs have launched an investigation after their fans smashed up seats at Fir Park and a steward was left with a head injury.
Shaun Maloney's side beat Motherwell 2-1 to advance to the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup, with Elias Melkersen striking twice.
Steelmen boss Graham Alexander was left fuming after Bevis Mugabi was shown a red card for a challenge inside the first minute, with his side playing virtually the entire game with 10 men.
Though they had some scares Hibs held on to join city rivals Hearts in the semis but it wasn't all good news for the capital club.
Fans in the away end smashed seats and threw a flare onto the pitch, with pictures showing the Fir Park damage.
In addition a steward was treated for a head injury having apparently been struck by a missile from the away end.
Hibs said in a statement: "We are aware of the incidents in the away end at Fir Park and will work closely with Motherwell FC in an attempt to identify supporters that were involved.
“If any supporter can be positively identified, then the club will take appropriate action.”
It's believed around 3,500 fans made the trip from Leith for Sunday's game.
