Steven Spielberg cited the hit Netflix Korean drama Squid Game as a game changer for the industry. Spielberg was among the nominated producers for the PGA Awards Zanuck Award speaking on a panel Saturday Morning at the Skirball Center in Los Angeles.

IZ*ONE member Miyawaki Sakura has spoken about her move to HYBE Labels’ Source Music in a letter to fans.Yesterday (March 14), a representative from Source Music shared that ex-IZ*ONE members Miyawaki and Kim Chae-won had signed “exclusive contracts with the agency” and would be joining its upcoming girl group.Later that day, the Japanese idol took to Instagram to personally share the news with her fans. “This time, I’ve moved to Source Music under HYBE,” she wrote in Korean and Japanese.Miyawaki shared that she had been unable to post much on social media in recent months, and apologised for keeping her fans waiting.

Squid Game has taken home two wins at the Critics Choice Awards.On Sunday (March 13), Squid Game cast members Lee Jung-jae, Jung Ho-yeon and Park Hae-soo attended the 27th Critics Choice Awards held in Los Angeles, where they took home two awards for the series.Lee, who played the series’ main character Seong Gi-hun, won Best Actor In A Drama Series for his performance, beating out Succession’s Brian Cox and Jeremy Strong, among others. “I’m grateful to an extent I can’t express,” said Lee during his acceptance speech, per Soompi.

It was a winning evening all round for the 27-year-old as not only did she take home the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series, but she seriously impressed on the red carpet.The South Korean model, who was runner up in the fourth season of Korea's Next Top Model, went high fashion for her first SAG Awards in a beautifully embellished Louis Vuitton dress.

In an upset, the deaf family drama “CODA” took top honors at an unpredictable and history-making 28th Screen Actors Guild Awards that also saw wins for the leads of “Squid Game," the cast of “Ted Lasso” and Will Smith.The ceremony, held Sunday at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, and broadcast on both TNT and TBS, was notably border-breaking, with historic wins for deaf actors, Korean stars and some of Hollywood's biggest names. It culminated with “CODA," Sian Heder's heartwarming Apple TV+ coming-of-age film featuring a trio of deaf actors in Marlee Matlin, Troy Kotsur and Daniel Durant, along with newcomer Emilia Jones, winning best ensemble.
