As we enter 2022, the UK TV industry is desperate to put nearly 24 months’ worth of Covid-19 disruption behind it. But with the Omicron variant still raging, it could be a while until this comes to fruition.

Here’s our annual rundown of the 10 largest awards given out by the British Film Institute’s Film Fund across 2021. Backed by National Lottery money, the grants are a key supporter of indie cinema in the UK.

Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes have cancelled a pair of shows that were slated to go down in London next month, citing the unpredictable landscape of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.Both gigs – the last of the group’s UK tour in support of recent album ‘Sticky’ – were set to take place at the O2 Academy Brixton across the weekend of Friday January 21 and Saturday 22.

Enter Shikari have announced the postponement of their final UK shows for 2021, along with some upcoming dates in Europe in 2022.The band rescheduled their UK and European tour dates, which were originally due to take place in summer, in support of their April 2020 album ‘Nothing Is True & Everything Is Possible’.
