Fans have rushed to support Helen Flanagan after she admitted her 'struggle' during a hidden health battle. The former Coronation Street actress, who played Rosie Webster on the ITV soap, spoke out on her Instagram yesterday (October 10) to mark World Mental Health Day.
Helen, 33, who shares her children Matilda, eight, Delilah, five and Charlie, two with her ex-partner and footballer Scott Sinclair, shared a candid photo of herself breastfeeding her youngest son Charlie as she admitted to suffering from postnatal depression.
The mum-of-three took to her Instagram page to raise awareness of her mental health struggles as she opened up for the first time. Helen admitted she 'struggled really badly' after giving birth to Charlie and also her eldest daughter Matilda, as she said she suffered from OCD and intrusive thoughts.

Sharing the picture with her one million followers, Helen wrote: "Mental health. It’s important to talk and know your not on your own and to be kind, kind as you can as life is so complicated. I struggled badly with post natal after Matilda and with Charlie.
"Matilda I was really unwell with after, I struggled really badly with OCD and intrusive thoughts and had CBT for a good year. I found an amazing book by @bryonygordon “No such thing as normal” and I’d really recommend it.
Helen added: "A good therapist can really help and I feel lucky I’ve always been able to speak to my mum and had good friends x your not on your own x chose this pic as even though I didn’t look it I had bad post natal with Charlie x."
