Helen Flanagan reveals she "cried" when I'm a Celebrity bosses confiscated her phone as she vows to do things differently in South Africa.
The actress, who is best known for her role as Rosie Webster in Coronation Street, first took part in the 12th series of I'm A Celebrity when she was just 22. "When I went in the jungle the first time, I didn't prepare at all," she said ahead of ITV's South African series.
"I didn't have a clue what I had let myself in for and I cried even when my phone got taken off me after landing in Australia. I want to make my children proud when I take part this time."
The actress came seventh in the 2012 edition of the series as she camped alongside EastEnders star Charlie Brooks, Pussycat Dolls singer Ashley Roberts, boxer David Haye and Made in Chelsea's Hugo Taylor.
She added that she's "grown up a lot" since taking part 10 years ago, saying: "It's going to be different. I was only 22 back then and I am 32 now.
"I've had three children and I've gone through three labours! I won't not finish the trials because my mindset will be very different this time around."
Helen, 32, who split from former Celtic player Scott Sinclair last year, reportedly sought relationship advice from her co-star Carol Vorderman. The former Countdown host, 62, has discussed her 'five special friends' as she enjoys a very independent life.
A source told The Sun: "Helen was at a crossroads in her relationship when she went into the jungle this time around.
"Carol became a kind of mother figure to the other campmates and Helen found herself opening up to her. She told Helen to follow her heart and put her children first."
