A thug tried to stamp on a man and spat in a cop's face during a brawl. Ethan Wenton was involved in a bust-up outside the Adelphi Hotel in Liverpool city centre at around 2.30am on March 11 last year.
The 23-year-old had initially acted as peacemaker as he attempted to calm his enraged girlfriend Kirsty McWilliams, the Liverpool Echo reports. She was trying to force her way into the hotel following an earlier row with someone outside.
A fight broke out and Wenton lashed out at another man, attempting to stamp on him after he was knocked to the ground. Police were called and Wenton was arrested in a kebab shop.
