HBO Max's Pirate Series 'Our Flag Means Death' Starts Filming - See the First Set Photos!

I really wanted to like “The Prince” — but we already have “Family Guy,” so…The new animated series on HBO Max comes from Gary Janetti, who has a long history with “Family Guy” as a writer/producer. He brings that skewed sensibility to “The Prince,” but not as cleverly, and since it’s streaming — and not on network television — he gives his caricatures (including Queen Elizabeth) free rein to spew profanity and drop F-bombs like nobody’s business.

Zack Snyder‘s “Justice League” featured “Spider-Man” actor and Oscar-winner J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Jim Gordon, and we all assumed that would be the end of his run in the DCEU as the studio attempted to pivot with Matt Reeves‘ “The Batman” adding Jeffrey Wright (“No Time To Die,” “Westworld“) as the new Jim Gordon and likely will appear in the HBO Max series.

Freeform’s “Pretty Little Liars” reboot has cast “Good Witch” star Bailee Madison in the starring role of Imogen, described as a true survivor.According to Deadline, the revival is a darker and more twisted version of the series, which aired from 2010 to 2017 and was based on the bestselling books by Sara Shepard.

This week, the trades revealed that Diane Ademu-John (a producer on “The Haunting of Bly Manor”) had come abord “Dune: The Sisterhood,” HBO Max’s “Dune” spin-off series.
