HBO Max Reveals List of Movies They're Removing in April 2022

A nearly three-hour Batman film, bordering on R-Rated, certainly not for kids, that’s nihilistic, darker than the Christopher Nolan films, and not really much of a traditional superhero movie released during a pandemic seemed like a risky endeavor for Warner Bros. earlier this year (read our review here).

Wilson Chapman editorAfter a break from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Natalie Portman is back and more powerful than ever in the first teaser for “Thor: Love and Thunder.”The fourth film in the “Thor” series is directed by Taika Waititi, who helmed the well-received “Thor: Ragnarok.” The movie follows on the heels of “Avengers: Endgame,” which ended with Thor Odinson (Chris Hemsworth), adrift after the fall of his kingdom Asgard, leaving Earth with the Guardians of the Galaxy. The teaser begins with him as a member of the group, with Chris Pratt, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan and Vin Diesel set to reprise their roles.

Elsa Keslassy International CorrespondentCritics Week (or La Semaine de la Critique), the selection dedicated to first and second films running alongside the Cannes Film Festival, will boast a jury presided over by Tunisian director Kaouther Ben Hania (“The Man who Sold his Skin”). Ben Hania has directed four features, including “Beauty and the Dogs” which competed in Un Certain Regard in 2017, and “The Man who Sold his Skin” which played at Venice in 2020 and was the first Tunisian film nominated for the Oscars’ international feature film race.

Even as the second season of The Flight Attendant — an HBO Max show Kaley Cuoco not only stars in but produces — is about to drop, the actress opened up this week to Glamour magazine about one part that got away.

HBO Max announced on Tuesday the renewal of the Sex and the City sequel series And Just Like That... for a second season.

EXCLUSIVE: Reid Miller (Joe Bell), Jonathan Silverman (Good Girls), Marguerite Moreau (Wet Hot American Summer) and Chris Mulkey (Twin Peaks) have signed on to star in the indie Feeling Randy, marking the solo directorial debut of veteran cinematographer Dean Lent.

Jake Quickenden has revealed that fiancée Sophie didn't like the ring he proposed with, so much so that the couple ended up getting engaged twice. Reality star Jake, 33, proposed to his girlfriend Sophie Church, 27, during a romantic getaway to Greece last year. But the couple, who share a baby son called Leo, had a double engagement of sorts when it turned out Sophie didn't like the ring Jake originally proposed with.
