HBO Max Has Two More Animated 'Game of Thrones' Spinoffs in the Works

With James Gunn’s “The Suicide Squad” arriving in theaters and HBO Max this weekend, there’s going to be a lot of talk about the new villains (or anti-heroes, if you prefer) that show up in the DC superhero film. He brings that skewed sensibility to “The Prince,” but not as cleverly, and since it’s streaming — and not on network television — he gives his caricatures (including Queen Elizabeth) free rein to spew profanity and drop F-bombs like nobody’s business.

Zack Snyder‘s “Justice League” featured “Spider-Man” actor and Oscar-winner J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Jim Gordon, and we all assumed that would be the end of his run in the DCEU as the studio attempted to pivot with Matt Reeves‘ “The Batman” adding Jeffrey Wright (“No Time To Die,” “Westworld“) as the new Jim Gordon and likely will appear in the HBO Max series.
