Handbags are a great way to elevate and add some interest to your outfit, while also being a necessary and practical way to store your essentials. Although real leather bags can be great investments and ‘forever’ pieces, their hefty price tags can be a bit off-putting. Arket’s leather crossbody bag has been a massive hit among shoppers.
It has sold out numerous times after going viral on social media. However, if you haven’t managed to get your hands on one yet or are a bit unsure about the £180 price tag, H&M has just dropped their own version for £27.99 here. Both bags hold a similar shape to one another and feature buckle detailing up the side of the bag.
The main difference is that the Arket version, £179 here, is made of genuine leather, whereas the H&M one is made from polyester.
This H&M bag is the perfect bag to take straight from work out to dinner. It looks sleek and will fit your work essentials in, while also looking chic enough to take on a night out. Minimalist bags have been having a moment since last year thanks to the popularity of the ‘quiet luxury’ aesthetic and this H&M one fits perfectly into that.
Thanks to Arket making this design so popular, a few other brands have released their own take on the bag and Mango is one of these. Mango’s version is a larger shopper version, £49.99 here, rather than a crossbody bag, however, it has a similar silhouette and buckle detail along the side. If you’re not a massive fan of the buckle aspect of the bag, Charles & Keith has a great alternative that looks similar but instead has gold hardware detailing in replacement of the buckle.
The bag is £99 here but looks far more expensive.
