Grey's Anatomy Finally Hinted at Alex Karev’s Exit Last Night

Since the show returned from the mid-season hiatus, Karev has been noticeably absent. The shown explained he was "in Iowa" with his mom. But then, he stopped returning Jo's calls and texts, and on last night's episode, Jo admitted she thought Alex had officially left her, and she found out he never actually went to go visit his mom. Bad news for all involved.

Ready to say goodbye. Following the Thursday, February 27, episode of Grey’s Anatomy, ABC aired a promo for the official goodbye episode to Justin Chambers‘  Alex Karev.

Justin Chambers will get an actual goodbye on next week's Grey's Anatomy.  Since it was announced in January that Chambers, who has been a cast member since the show's pilot, was leaving and his final episode aired in November, all we've known is that his character, Alex Karev, has apparently been in Iowa visiting his mother.

As we continue crying over Justin Chambers no longer being on Grey’s Anatomy, we now know how his character, Alex Karev, will officially be sent off.

ICYMI, Dolores Catania was looking like a hot tamale in the February 19 episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. The house flipper broke out a fiery red cut-out swimsuit during the gang's trip to the Jersey Shore that was too hot too handle. When the news broke that Justin Chambers, who plays Dr. Alex Karev on Grey's Anatomy, after 16 seasons, the fan base was shook. Alex has been through it all, and he's also helped Meredith through hundreds of episodes worth of stuff, so like... what will the show even be like without him? Aside from the many feelings people had about a lack of Karev, there seemed to be some confusion as to how it would go down. Grey's needs to handle that ASAP.

It came as a slight shock, and some heartbreak, when we found out that Justin Chambers would not be returning to play Dr Alex Karev in the long-running series Grey’s Anatomy.
