A HGV driver from Greater Manchester was arrested while cycling along a coastal path in North Wales in his birthday suit.
Stuart Gilmour, from Middleton, rode his bike from Prestatyn to Colwyn Bay over the week and managed to catch the attention of many beachgoers for only sporting a pair of trainers. As he made his way to Colwyn Bay, he was reported to the police and subsequently arrested.
The 44-year-old spent a few hours in a cell but was released after CCTV footage showed he was not indecently exposing himself, he said. Stuart is a naturist activist who is raising money for charity with naked bike rides across the UK.
The HGV driver says that he has been practising naturism "almost 24/7" for more than a decade. He received criticism on social media for his bike ride, with some calling it "disturbing". Despite this, Stuart says he generally receives positive reactions and he actively engages with negative comments on social media while trying to promote naturism, North Wales Live reports.

"I find the negativity upsetting at times," Stuart said. "It's just people attacking me before they know me and jumping to conclusions.
"The vast majority of people I encounter react positively, and I try to engage with people who aren't onboard and talk to them about naturism and why I'm so keen to promote it."
Stuart says naturism is about body positivity and being comfortable in your own skin. He added: "For me, naturism is about pure comfort. I'm more comfortable naked than when I'm wearing clothes.
"I feel like I'm judged more when I've got clothes on, if they're too tight etc. Naturists are some of the nicest people you could meet.
