Graham Linehan took to the Scottish Parliament to perform his comedy show after two Edinburgh venues cancelled.
Organisers Comedy Unleashed started their show outside the Scottish Parliament on Thursday evening after the second venue pulled out. The original venue, Leith Arches, cancelled Linehan's show earlier this week announcing that his views did not “align” with their overall values.
Linehan, 55, is best known for writing hit comedy sitcoms The IT Crowd and Father Ted. He has been a vocal critic of the transgender community and previously said this week he was considering legal action against Leith Arches.

Linehan was visibly emotional after finishing his performance. He told the crowd: "I've never seen anything as insane as the last two days.
"And I keep asking people what I've said wrong and what I'm saying wrong in this fight about women's spaces, about children being mutilated in and sterilised in gender clinics and about the women who are being harassed and threatened for standing up."
On Wednesday, Linehan joined Julia Hartley-Brewer on TalkTV and discussed taking legal action against the Edinburgh venue. He said: “It was a sell-out. But you do get used to this kind of thing after a while. It never really makes you feel good.
“If they apologise and put the gig on, I’ll say no more about it, but otherwise I’ll be looking at legal action.”
He added: "The most important view I have is that it is a crime against humanity to tell children they may have
