The Ingleton Waterfalls Trail is a circular route which is around five miles long. It takes you through ancient woodland and open fells and follows a series of breath-taking waterfalls.
One thing to look out for on the trail is the Money Tree, a dead piece of wood which has been studded with old coins, believed to bring good luck.
You do have to pay to enter the walk but the path is well-maintained, tickets cost £8 for adults aged 16 and over, £4 for children.
It’s open seven days a week from 9am, although closing times vary throughout the year, closing at 4pm in March then at 7pm from April 1 until August 31.
But that’s not the only experience Ingleton has to offer.
Towering over the village is Ingleton Viaduct, an impressive Grade II listed structure which crosses over the River Greta.
Walk along the main street and you’ll come across a range of artisan shops and plenty of places to grab a bite to eat.
It’s even home to the longest working pottery in the Yorkshire Dales, Ingleton Pottery, where you can watch the potters at work from the showroom.
