Jamie Redknapp has delivered a brutal verdict on Luke Shaw's comments after England's win over Switzerland as the Manchester United full-back hinted at unhappiness at his club.
The 26-year-old scored in the Three Lions' 2-1 win over Switzerland at Wembley and admitted that he enjoys his football with Gareth Southgate's side after enduring a torrid season with United. The comments provoked plenty of debate among United fans, given Shaw's inconsistent form this season.
Analysing Shaw's comments, Redknapp told Sky Sports: "It's a breath of fresh air for them. Especially at Manchester United right now, everyone's got a view, an opinion and talking about the club — not in the right way. They've got Liverpool, Man City doing so well, I suppose to feel like a change of environment is good for him.

"But you can never overestimate the pressures you're going to be under when you're at these clubs and if you can't handle probably best you're not at these types of clubs, that's it, that's football. It's pressurised, you are going to get stick off 50,000 people and you have to be able to accept it, when you give the ball away, the hardest thing in the world is to go and want it and get it again.
"Of course, you feel his [Shaw's] pain when a player speaks so honestly like that but when you want to be a footballer at 10-11 years of age you're going to have to accept you're going to get criticised and it isn't always going to be a bed of roses and you have to accept that side of it.
