‘Good Omens’ Eyes Season 3 Renewal By Amazon, Douglas Mackinnon Not Returning As Co-Showrunner

Valerie Wu Intern CBS has set the holiday-themed special “Big Brother Reindeer Games,” with returning houseguests from the original series. The news was announced live during the season 25 finale of “Big Brother” on Nov. 9.

BreAnna Bell “The Circus: Inside the Greatest Political Show on Earth” will conclude with its eighth season, Showtime announced on Tuesday. The series finale episode is scheduled to arrive on Nov. 12 at 7 p.m.

The Circus, the Showtime docuseries that presented the chaotic world of politics in a weekly narrative, is ending its run after eight seasons and 130 episodes.

That is exactly what Mark St. Germain did in creating his 2009 play Freud’s Last Session, which was built on the 1967 Harvard lectures of Dr. Armond M. Nicholi Jr in his presentation “The Question of God: C.S. Lewis and Sigmund Freud Debate God, Love, Sex, and the Meaning of Life.”

EXCLUSIVE: As Deadline reported earlier this week, Douglas Mackinnon, who served as executive producer, director and co-showrunner on the first two seasons of Good Omens, will not be returning for the expected third season of the Amazon/BBC series. It turns out Mackinnon also has exited another Neil Gaiman Amazon fantasy series, the upcoming Anansi Boys.

Joe Otterson TV Reporter “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” series currently in the works at Amazon MGM Studios has found its showrunner. Variety has learned exclusively that Veena Sud will head up the series, which will be set in the world of the so-called Millennium novels originally written by Stieg Larsson. Variety previously reported that the series was in development in May 2020, though no showrunner was attached at that time.

The show originally debuted in 2021 as part of a multi-year first-look deal Stewart signed with the streaming arm of the tech giant. Season 1 of the show aired episodes every two weeks, while the second season switched to a weekly format.
