Good Morning Britain presenter Alex Beresford has quit his regular role on the programme ITV West Country as he gears up to try something new.The TV star has been a weatherman on the show for an incredible 17 years. But after moving his way up the ranks, Alex has left the regional section behind in favour of a position with the national news team. Giving an emotional statement about his departure, the longtime GMB host reflected on a "special part" of his life and how much he'll "miss" the job and all the people in it.
He also thanked all the viewers who tuned in during the pandemic, as he recalled how tough it had been to get the show on-air every day. "It's been a special part of my life and I'm going to miss it. "I'm a Bristol boy through and through.The West Country is an amazing place to work," the TV star continued. "I'd never been to Cornwall before I started working at ITV West Country and I got to explore one of the best parts of the world in my opinion," Alex went on.
