Gogglebox's Ellie Warner is raising funds for a brain injury charity after her boyfriend Nat Eddleton's horrific car accident. Nat was reportedly knocked down by a white car on Friday March 18 after meeting friends for drinks in the Halton area of Leeds. He was rushed into intensive care with collapsed lungs and a broken neck as a result of the accident, and still remains on life support.
Now, weeks later, hairdresser Ellie, 32, who is unlikely to return to the Channel 4 show any time soon, has raised over £1,300 for brain injury charity, Headway, after asking for donations for her birthday this year. Writing on her Facebook page with the name: "El's birthday fundraiser for Headway - the brain injury," Ellie said: "For my birthday this year, I'm asking for donations to Headway - the brain injury association.
"I've chosen this charity because their mission means a lot to me, and I hope that you'll consider contributing as a way of celebrating with me. Every little bit will help me reach my goal. "I've included information about Headway - the brain injury association below." She continued: "Headway's mission is to promote the understanding of all aspects of brain injury and to provide vital information, support and services to people with a brain injury, their families and carers." The fundraiser was set up on April 12, with a goal of raising £150.The total has reached an impressive £1,315.
