A teenage girl who was arrested after 'the release of a gas from an aerosol can' at a south Manchester high school has been released under investigation.
Pupils at St Paul's Catholic High School in Wythenshawe were evacuated as emergency services responded to the incident on Wednesday afternoon.
More than 80 people had to be assessed by paramedics as the North West Ambulance Service declared a critical incident.
Two people were taken to hospital with breathing difficulties.

The school said pupils were evacuated from the building on Firbank Road, in Newall Green, as a 'precaution' following the 'suspected discharge of an aerosol in one area of the school'.
Greater Manchester Police said that a 13-year-old girl was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon.
She was taken to custody for questioning.
In an update issued today (Friday), the force said she has since been released under investigation.
The type of gas that was released has not yet been clarified.
Yesterday (Thursday), the school reopened as normal after safety checks were carried out.
A message sent to parents by the headmaster praised pupils for their 'exceptional behaviour' through the 'distressing' incident.
"We understand the level of anxiety that parents and carers will have experienced due to the presence of the emergency services, however please be reassured that every measure taken during this incident was done with the safety of your child in mind", the message added.
