Multi-Emmy-winning producing duo Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner have been tapped as executive producing showrunners for the 81st Golden Globe Awards. Weiss also is set to direct the live show on Sunday, January 7, 2024.

Weiss and Kirshner of White Cherry Entertainment most recently served as producers of the 95th Academy Awards. Since launching their boutique production company WCE in 1999, they have produced dozens of live television specials, including The Primetime Emmy Awards, Super Bowl halftime shows, Tony Awards, Kennedy Center Honors and presidential inaugurations. Weiss has a longtime alliance with Dick Clark Productions serving as director for the Academy of Country Music Awards, Dick Clark’s New Year Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest and American Music Awards. This will be Weiss’ first time directing the Golden Globes.
