Are you ready to spice up your life? Spice Girls member Melanie C has confirmed that the iconic girl group are very much open to the idea of playing Glastonbury Festival.
The singer also known as Sporty Spice performed a solo set at this year's festival, during which she was joined on stage by man of the moment Tom Grennan.
Tom, who celebrated his second Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart with What Ifs & Maybes last week, shared vocals with Melanie on When You're Gone, her much-loved duet with Bryan Adams, which peaked at Number 3 in 1998.
However, during an interview with BBC Radio 6 Music, Melanie spoke about returning to Worthy Farm next year with her bandmates.
"All of the Spice Girls would like to play Glasto, that is the truth," she said. "Like I said to the audience [on Saturday night], doing a couple of Spice Girls songs, 'a bit of a warm-up for next year?' They're rehearsed, they know the words, they're ready."
Melanie also appeared to suggest that a Spice Girls Glastonbury set could feature all five members – herself plus Geri Halliwell, Melanie B, Emma Bunton and Victoria Beckham.
Victoria sat out the group's last reunion, a 13-date UK stadium tour that took place in 2019.
"So, if I can drag the other girls along... I say 'drag' the other girls along – all of the Spice Girls would like to play Glasto, that is the truth," Melanie continued. "It's just getting it together, the timing being right. And it's quite daunting, some of the girls haven't been up on stage for years."
She added: "But I think it's, we call it the bucket list, because as an artist it really is the ultimate."
All of which begs the question: Could the Spice Girls play Glastonbury's Sunday afternoon Legends slot next year? Or could they

Pat Saperstein Deputy Editor SPOILER ALERT: This interview contains spoilers from the series finale of “Happy Valley” now streaming on AMC+ and Acorn. When “Happy Valley” wrapped up its second season in 2016, fans of the British police thriller were devastated that the intense series seemed to be over for good. Created by Sally Wainwright and starring Sarah Lancashire (HBO’s “Julia”) as a police officer in a hard-scrabble area of West Yorkshire, the series won the BAFTA for best drama in both seasons, and attracted a devoted audience around the world. Working in a region plagued with drugs, crime and poverty, Lancashire’s character Sergeant Catherine Cawood is a tough but empathetic cop who divides her time between solving brutal crimes and taking care of her sister, a former addict, and her grandson, whom she raised after her daughter died by suicide. Seasons 1 and 2 track her mission to bring down Tommy Lee Royce — the hardened criminal who raped her daughter and fathered her grandson, Ryan. James Norton’s nuanced performance as the violent Tommy, who still holds out hope for a relationship with his son, is the polar opposite of the crime-solving vicar he played in his next series, “Grantchester.”
