Shania Twain graced the Pyramid Stage in the coveted Legends slot, but many viewers at home all had the same complaint about the singer's performance.
The country sensation made her Glastonbury debut on Sunday afternoon, launching her performance to thousands of eager fans with her renowned track "That Don't Impress Me Much."
Yet, those tuning in from their living rooms were left underwhelmed as she appeared on stage as they begged festival organisers to improve the sound quality.
Criticism was rife as many described the sound as "flat". Venting on social media, one viewer remarked: "Is it me or does Shania sounds bloody terrible #Glastonbury."
Another chimed in: "#Glastonbury Well that didn't impress me much, flat as a pancake." A third shared: "This isn't impressing me much. #Glastonbury."
Another fan implored: "C'mon #Glastonbury sort the sound out for #Shania. She's a trooper, so she's keeping on keeping on, but she deserves better than this! "
One asked: "are her in ears not working or is she just having one live? #Glastonbury."
A concerned spectator commented: "Is Shania unwell? She sounds like she's really struggling with her vocals here. A shame. #Glastonbury #Glastonbury2024."
One dismayed fan voiced: "Shania Twain and Cyndi Lauper both thrown under the bus by the Glastonbury sound engineers. Looks like neither of them could hear themselves so we're out of time. Also the sound mix is generally dreadful."
An informed viewer explained: "People need to learn how live music works. Shania Twain was clearly having in ear issues for the first couple songs.
"Fingers in ears and on the battery pack constantly. Third song it got sorted and she was in tune and in time. But nope judgements already been made."
