Will Thorne Staff WriterThe bidding for forthcoming road-trip thriller “He Went That Way,” which boasts an eye-catching lead duo of “Euphoria” star Jacob Elordi and Zachary Quinto, is already hotting up.Variety has learned exclusively that the German distribution rights were snapped up by SquareOne Entertainment ahead of the Cannes virtual film market.

Leo Barraclough International Features EditorPicture Tree Intl. has acquired the rights to “Chasing the Line,” which follows the fortunes of downhill skiing legend Franz Klammer during the 1976 Winter Olympics.

Emilio Mayorga Stuttgart-based sales company Sola Media has taken international rights to animated feature “Gus, the Guide Dog,” currently in pre-production and to be directed by Portugal’s Bruno Simões, an animation director and previs artist who has worked on films such as “Skyfall,” “Epic” and “Rio 2.”Family-oriented “Gus” is produced by Roger Torras at Barcelona’s WKND,  Humberto Santana at Animanostra (Portugal), and Xosé Zapata at Sygnatia (Spain).

Shamier Anderson has closed a deal to join the cast of John Wick: Chapter 4, the latest pic in the Keanu Reeves-led franchise in the works at Lionsgate.
