George Floyd's Family Settles 'Historic' $27 Million Lawsuit With the City of Minneapolis

Derek Chauvin, 45, is facing 40 years in prison for the death of George Floyd, the Minneapolis man whom he pinned to the ground by the neck for nine minutes and 29 seconds, until he suffocated. The death of Floyd, an unarmed Black man, sparked outcry and demonstrations in all 50 states.
