Generous Mancunians, moved by the plight of the Afghan people, have opened up their homes to refugees.
Room for Refugees - a charity which connects those with spare rooms to refugees and asylum seekers - says 65 people across Greater Manchester have volunteered to host since the beginning of August.
While Refugees at Home have had 22 new volunteers come forward as hosts over the last fortnight.
