Gavan O’Herlihy, an actor whose extensive roster of roles in television and film were often overshadowed by a character that famously evaporated – he played Chuck Cunningham, eldest son of the central Happy Days family who exited with barely a subsequent mention – died of undisclosed causes on Sept. 15 in Bath, England.
The Dublin-born actor was 70. His death was first reported by The Irish Echo newspaper.
