A gang of young thugs stole toys from an Asda supermarket before shoving an elderly lady who was 'doing her weekly shopping'. Officers are today (November 3) appealing for information following the incident in Shaw, Oldham.
Greater Manchester Police says that at around 12.30pm on Saturday, September 23, a group of five youths entered Asda on Greenfield Lane and stole a large quantity of toys. As they left the store, they then assaulted the woman by pushing her to the ground.
PC Winstanley, of the Initial Investigation Unit at GMP, said: “This was a nasty assault on a woman who was simply doing her weekly shopping and was walking home. She was injured and has been left incredibly shaken up by the incident.
