Remember those star-studded charity singles from the ’80s, like Do They Know It’s Christmas? Remember how they were kind of… terrible??
Don’t get us wrong, their hearts were in the right place, and we certainly hope as much of those proceeds went to charity as advertised, but the music was always worthless tripe.
Well, in the spirit of those classics, Gal Gadot put together a group of A-listers herself to serenade the world in these dark times! Okay, she didn’t put them together together, that
Gal Gadot is redefining birthdays in the time of quarantine. The Wonder Woman actress brought together the cast of Wonder Woman 84 recently, digitally, to celebrate Pedro Pascal's birthday.
A week and a half ago, actress Gal Gadot posted an Instagram video of her and some famous friends earnestly singing a cover of “Imagine” – and it promptly got destroyed by the Internet. While intended to uplift fans during the coronavirus crisis, most viewers just saw a bunch of tone-deaf wealthy stars (literally and figuratively) with no idea of what it’s like to be truly struggling right now.
Coronavirus hasn't spared Wonder Woman either. The DC superhero franchise was all set to drop the second movie, Wonder Woman 84, in June. However, in lieu of the Covid-19 outbreak around the world, Warner Bros has decided to push back the Gal Gadot starrer to August 2020. This is the second time the movie is being pushed. The Patty Jenkins directorial was supposed to release on December 13, 2019. But it was moved to November 1, 2019. Until recently, WW84 was set to drop on June 5, 2020.
For the most part, the celebrity reactions to the coronavirus crisis have been better than expected. Kylie Jenner has urged her millions of fans to stay home, while Miley Cyrus has launched an Instagram Live series to remain positive. However, as these worst celeb coronavirus reactions show, not every star’s opinion has been well thought-out.
Actress' star-studded video has become notorious since its release
If you are under the illusion that the coronavirus pandemic and the resulting self-quarantine will lead to great art, Gal Gadot is here to set you right. Last night, the Wonder Woman actress shared an Instagram video driven by a combination of a looming sense of mortality driven by the crisis and a patronizing urge for unity driven by a viral video of a trumpeter in Italy.
Surely, it was meant to be a kind gesture.
Wonder Wonder 84 is yet to hit the theatres. But rumours of Wonder Woman 3 are already making the headlines.
The Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot shared her version of Imagine. The star-studded video sees many celebrities like Avengers: Endgame actor Mark Ruffalo, Jimmy Fallon, Amy Adams, and Will Ferrell among many others.
In this week’s edition of celebrities who remain completely out of touch with reality, we present Gal Gadot’s “Imagine” celebrity coronavirus cover. If you haven’t seen the video in question by now, well, just listen to the Twitterverse’s warning before you dive in: it’s “cringey.” A not so wonderful result for the Wonder Woman star.
Gal Gadot attempted to ease people's concerns over the coronavirus pandemic but instead seemed to irritate them more. The "Wonder Woman" star, along with other celebrities including Kristen Wiig, James Marsden and Natalie Portman, posted a cover of John Lennon’s famous song “Imagine” on social media in an effort to inspire hope.

Now that self isolating and is a thing, people have a lot more time on their hands. (I, for one, will be trying to develop a personality and an actual hobby these next few weeks.) Since celebrities aren't out doing all the Hollywood stuff they normally do, they've been way to try to save themselves from absolute boredom. Unfortunately in Gal Gadot's case, Twitter is fully roasting her for recording a cover of John Lennon's "Imagine" with her celeb friends.

To lighten the mood as the world struggled with the coronavirus pandemic, a host of stars took turns to sing John Lennon's hopeful classic "Imagine" in a video posted to Gal Gadot's Instagram on Wednesday. The three-minute clip, which has been liked over half a million times on Instagram, begins with theWonder Woman star talking about "day six in self-quarantine" and how the situation had led to her "feeling a bit philosophical" about the global nature of the pandemic.
