Heather Small has revealed some of the behind-the-scenes secrets of The Masked Singer after having featured on the current series. Heather, 57, was the first to leave the show on New Year’s day, bringing her time as the iconic Chandelier to an end. While she was the first to leave, the British singer, known for songs like Moving On Up and Proud, said the programme is a guessing game more than it is a singing competition, and quipped that if it was the other way round, she’d have “had something to say" about being the first contestant to go.
Heather also revealed some of the backstage secrets of the show, including double code names, during a chat with OK! Online. “No one has any idea who anyone is,” she told us. “They’re so good.
You have more than one code name, like a code name within a code name, the show is called something completely different from what the show is.They go to great lengths to keep everything under wraps.” “They’re genius at it,” Heather continued, as she suggested some of the team behind the hit ITV show should join MI5. Heather also revealed that the celebs are allowed to choose their own characters, and she chose the Chandelier because she liked the “shininess” of it, and how it looked in the light. As to how she tried to disguise her well-known voice, Heather explained that through the help of her vocal coach, she completely “deconstructed” the way she’d usually sing.

‘The Masked Singer U.K.’ Commissioned for Two More Seasons at ITV
Naman Ramachandran U.K. broadcaster ITV has recommissioned Argonon Group company Bandicoot Scotland to produce two more seasons of hit music reality show “The Masked Singer U.K.” Both seasons will have eight 90-minute episodes each.The third series concluded on Saturday with a season high of 7.8 million viewers, accounting for a 45% share of total viewing, with younger viewers — 46.6% of the available 16-34 demographic — also tuning into ITV for the show.
