Friends star David Schwimmer pays emotional tribute to Matthew Perry after tragic death

David Schwimmer, who played Ross Geller in the popular American sitcom Friends, has shared a heartfelt tribute to his former co-star Matthew Perry following his unexpected passing. Posting a picture of them together on set, David wrote: "Matty, Thank you for ten incredible years of laughter and creativity." He continued: "I will never forget your impeccable comic timing and delivery. You could take a straight line of dialogue and bend it to your will, resulting in something so entirely original and unexpectedly funny it still astonishes.
"And you had heart. Which you were generous with, and shared with us, so we could create a family out of six strangers.
This photo is from one of my favorite moments with you. Now it makes me smile and grieve at the same time.
"I imagine you up there, somewhere, in the same white suit, hands in your pockets, looking around- 'Could there BE any more clouds?'" The sweet and emotional tribute comes after Friends star Matthew was discovered lifeless in his hot tub on 28th October by emergency services.
The police reported that they received a call about a possible heart attack around 4:00 p.m. PST. When they arrived, they started water rescue procedures as it appeared Matthew had tragically drowned.
At the time, it was reported there were no drugs at the scene and the police didn't suspect anything suspicious. Matthew had openly talked about his battle with addiction in the years leading up to his death. He admitted that there were parts of his time on Friends that he couldn't remember because of this.
