A frantic search is underway to trace a missing man who vanished from a Scots town in his van.
Kirk Hutchenson is believed to have left his home in the Castlehill area of Ayr at 8am on Monday, October 30. He has not been seen or heard from since.
Police believe the 53-year-old took his vehicle, a white Citan Mercedes van, with a registration DF66 ELW. Kirk is described as around 5ft 11 ins, of medium build, with light brown hair and a beard.
Sergeant John Hurren “Concerns are growing for Kirk’s welfare and we are asking anyone who has seen him or knows where he is to get in touch. Likewise, if anyone has seen Kirk’s van in the Ayr area or further afield, please let us know.
“If he learns of this appeal we would also encourage Kirk to make contact with us or his family so we know he is safe and well.”
Anyone who can help is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 1406 of Tuesday, 31 October, 2023.
