Fox Orders ‘Farmer Wants A Wife’ Reality Dating Series Based on International Format

McLean is set to host a new reality competition series, “The Fashion Hero: A New King of Beautiful.” The series will see twenty-two diverse contestants compete in a bid to “break traditional standards and define a new kind of beauty.” The contestants will be split into four teams, each guided by a coach and celebrity mentors including “Fit2Fat2Fit” host Drew Manning, former Janet Jackson choreographer and director René Elizondo, rockers Simple Plan, Canadian artist Jordyn Sugar, activist Elle van der Burg and Vogue photographer Adi Barkan.

Hulu is getting into the love business with a new unscripted show hosted by Taye Diggs.

Selome Hailu Hulu has given a series order to “Back in the Groove,” a reality dating series hosted by Taye Diggs. “Back in the Groove” follows three single women in their 40s who feel stuck in the grind of their everyday lives. They check out of their comfort zones and into The Groove Hotel, a magical resort in the Dominican Republic, where the goal is to rediscover their youth, live joyously, and find love with men half their age. Playing on the saying that “you can’t fall in love with someone else until you fall in love with yourself, at the Groove Hotel, the women have the opportunity to do both. Between flings, friendship, true love, or something in between, “Back in the Groove” aims to give older women a chance to take charge, break through double standards, and have fun doing it.

“A Friend of the Family” showrunner and executive producer Nick Antosca is no stranger to the gritty world of true crime, having previously been a writer for the Hulu series “The Act.” Antosca’s latest project comes in the form of a web series based upon the popular 80’s horror franchise “Chucky” and is currently in its second season. “A Friend of the Family” is based on the tragically true story of the Broberg family.

Ellise Shafer Starz has ordered the pilot of an interview series hosted by Bronx rapper Fat Joe. Described as a “genre-busting series that blends interviews with celebrities and high-profile guests with an elevated documentary style format,” the untitled pilot will be executive produced by Sean “Diddy” Combs’ Revolt Studios and LeBron James’ SpringHill. “We’re about to create the biggest and most culturally-relevant series on television,” Fat Joe said in a press release. “With Puff, LeBron, the incredible team at Starz and myself teaming up, you have a dream team that is guaranteed to produce TV gold. Hosting a show has always been a dream of mine and I’m thankful for everyone who helped make it a reality.
