Starz has released the key art and full trailer for their upcoming series Dangerous Liaisons, based on the Pierre Choderlos de Laclos classic, which you can watch in the video posted above. The eight-episode series will make its debut on November 6.

Deadline.A logline for the series reads: “An investigation into a botched kidnapping uncovers long-held secrets connecting multiple characters and cultures in present day New York City.”Soderbergh will direct all six episodes and executive produce alongside Solomon and Casey Silver, who previously collaborated on the HBO Max film “No Sudden Move.”Quaid is a veteran leading man and Emmy nominee best known for his memorable film roles in projects like “The Day After Tomorrow,” “The Rookie,” “The Right Stuff,” “Far From Heaven” and “The Parent Trap.”Quaid is represented by UTA, Brillstein Entertainment Partners, Adkins Publicity and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller.

So far, Steven Soderbergh has made the most of the three-year overall deal he signed with HBO Max in January 2020. He’s already made three films on the deal, “Kimi” with Zoë Kravitz being the latest, and how he has the limited series “Full Circle” on the way, with Zazie Beetz and Claire Danes starring.

The series will follow farmers across the nation looking for love with someone who will embrace their remote country lifestyle. They will be matched with single women who’ve given up on dating in big cities and are looking for a true connection with a farmer. The news came ahead of the network’s presentation at the Television Critics Association’s virtual summer 2022 press tour. The original “Farmer Wants a Wife” debuted in 20018 on the U.K.’s ITV, though different versions have aired in 32 countries including Australia, France and even the U.S. for a short run on the CW in 2008.
