Former EastEnders star Jake Wood made an admission as he gave an update on his latest project on Good Morning Britain.
The actor, who portrayed Max Branning in the BBC soap up until February 2021, joined hosts Kate Garraway and Ed Balls on Monday morning's show (April 8). The 51-year-old told them all about his new theatre show, London Tide, which begins its run in the capital on Wednesday until June 22.
This isn't the star's first foray into theatre. He previously appeared in the West End's 2:22 A Ghost Story alongside both Cheryl and Lily Allen.

He's now returning to the National Theatre for a 'completely different' project. Explaining the premise of the production, Jake explained how London Tide is based on the Charles Dickens novel Our Mutual Friend.
He said: "It's quite unique this... the genius of Charles Dickens meet the genius of PJ Harvey, the singer-songwriter. She's written 12 new songs for the show."
"Are you a singer?" Kate asked, as Jake admitted: "I'm not a singer, but I am singing in the show, so yeah! I don't know how that's going to go, so you'll have to come and see the show and let me know..."
Jake went on to highlight the differences between working in TV and in theatre, as he said of performing to an audience: "To be doing a show live in front of [1,000] people, that kind of live element, is special."
Ed rounded off the interview by asking Jake, an Arsenal fan, the Eastenders question on every fan's mind - could Max Branning ever return to Walford? "What's more likely - Arsenal winning the Premier League or Max Branning returning to Eastenders?" the former politician probed.
